Below is a list of games that have been tested and approved: These games are fun and educational games about Music for a variety of grade levels. Some students may have difficulty with some games, while other games may not be a challenge for them at all. While several of the sites do ask you to sign up for one reason or another, I've tried very hard to select games that do not require such things from you. If you have any concerns, notice a game not working, or something inappropriate in a game or site that is posted, please let me know immediately and I will take it down as quickly as I can. While I've done my best to check through every site that I'm directing you to, it's simply impossible for me to catch every possible issue that could arise.
The Orchestra Game - A longer game. Signing up for the website allows you to keep your progress. This game was played in class by most of the students and has a lot of educational information about instruments of the Orchestra, as well as some funny moments.
Ear Training - A number of games on this site teach the students how to listen for particular pitches and tones, as well as intervals and more. Again, there is a sign-up required to try the first portion of most of the games, but those provide enough entertainment and challenge to last quite a while without investing anything to the site.
Composers and more - This site contains two great games about composers. They are trivia titles (time machine and Beethoven's Baseball) but they are both fun and educational, telling all about composers lives, the era's they lived in and more. In addition, there is a fun music match game and a neat "Paint the instrument" game that allows you to make wacky colored instruments of all types.
Music Games for Kids - A lot of small, fun games about everything from piano basics (play the note as it appears on the screen) to puzzles and matching games.
